[Solved] MACH REBOOT

Status
Not open for further replies.
I'm having a similar problem. I can boot into my existing Sierra install using the Clover bootloader from the USB so I know that's not the problem, but when trying to boot into the High Sierra installer it hangs on the Apple logo. Using -v I get the attached. (Apologies for the blurriness—I had to take a slow mo video just to capture it.)

Did you try FixHeaders_2000000 and disable KernelIvyXCPM.
If already try but no help, roll back Clover r4128 should help.
I can use Clover r4200 run both 10.12.6/10.13, but can not perform 10.13 fresh install, use r4128 ok.
I think K series may also have the same problem like my Pentium G4400/G4560.

Just tested preliminary version Clover r4251, auto XCPM patch for Pentium seems to be changed, no more MACH Reboot issue in 10.13 fresh install.

XCPM check result, disabled.
sysctl -n machdep.xcpm.mode

Clover versions >r413x had built in XCPM patches for unsupported Pentium CPU, seems to be incompatible to 10.13 installer, Core series do not have this problem.

Clover r4128 seems to be most stable version for 10.13 fresh installation (Celeron/Pentium CPU only) .
Thing is r4128 doesn't support high Sierra

It work well with High Sierra, good enough to run macOS 10.13.1 beta 2, I still stay at r4128.

Clover r4251 is for test and debug, although I tested with 2 Pentium Hacks and both past fresh install, but it may not stable enough.

If you want to test it, see below link,

Try attached file, base on Clover r4128.

Tested with MSI B250M/Asus B150/Asrock H110M + G4400/G4560/i3 7100 + AMD HD5570/HD6450/RX460.

Thanks so much will try tomorrow nearly 11pm here

Using Fixheaders gets me different results, but still can't boot.

I tried 4128 and 4251 but nothing seems to change as far as I can tell.
