[solved] Intel HD 630- No QE/CI- Help Needed

Status
Not open for further replies.
Thank you for all of your help RehabMan. I now have QE/CI on my setup. With your suggestion to ensure the graphics kexts were installed, I updated to 10.12.4 in hopes this may install any missing kexts. This seems to have installed the missing kexts as desired. I can't thank you enough for your help and all that you have provided the hackintosh community!

Marked solved.

All kexts you need should be installed to the system volume.
Kext injection is only for the installer and recovery partitions.

Yes, of course.

I currently run all my kexts (all of them not from a vanilla install) on the EFI partition. Is that the same as System Partition in your eyes, or are you referring to ~/System/... ?

I'm curious as to why you say this, if it's the ~/System as that's not how I have it setup currently and things seem to be running correctly, but I'd obviously like to do it the right way.

I have changed ig-platform-id to 0x19160000 and 0x19160002

How can I know which is my 0x........? I'm using 0x12345678
Have applied this solution for booting https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...-only-ran-for-0-seconds-with-dual-gpu.233092/. secondary (discrete) graphics device.

You cannot use a Skylake ig-platform-id with KabyLake graphics kexts. Skylake ig-platform-id values are invalid with KBL framebuffer kext.
Try KabyLake ig-platform-id such as 0x59160000 or 0x59120000.

Kernel Panic for 0x59160000 for both options.

Set DVMT-prealloc to 64mb in BIOS.
What desktop do you have? (no desktop in profile...)

This is all I have in my T470p BIOS about memory.

You are talking about this right?
<key>ig-platform-id</key>
<string>0x12345678</string>

I have found this on config.plist:
<key>FakeID</key>
<dict>
<key>#Kaby Lake-Comment</key>
<string>To avoid automatic Clover fake device-id (Skylake) injection</string>
<key>IntelGFX</key>
<string>0x59168086</string>
</dict>

Do I need it?
