I just tried it and it works for me... I'm on HS not Mojave.
After the download finishes it tries to automatically launch the installer but fails when it realizes that I'm already running a newer OSX. This is expected behavior.

I have a question: what apps I can update and what no. When everything going good. I updated iTunes and then the system never boot into login again. And I have to do everything (installs OS again).
