Hello guys,
hope you are well.
Today, i have spent a lot of time trying to upgrade my hackintosh from yosemite version to high sierra version.
The plan was to add a SSD for the occasion (for now i have just an hard drive) and put high sierra on it.

Unfortunately i'm stuck at the second step (create the bootable usb).

I follow the steps describe here : https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...any-supported-intel-based-pc.235474/#download
At the beginning i was even stuck on step 1, indeed my previous system definition was MacPro3,1 (define with the yosemite version of chameleon), and the app store, didn't authorised me to download high sierra with that kind of configuration. So i was obliged to change my system definition and select MacPro 5,1 instead and then i was able to download high sierra from app store.

Now as i said, i'm stuck at the step 2, https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ported-intel-based-pc.235474/#create_unibeast
when i click to continue on step 14 (finalisation of the usb key), i have an error screen without any reason/
Same like here : https://www.tonymacx86.com/attachments/screen-shot-2017-10-25-at-5-45-48-pm-png.288083/

I check on the log, but it's not really helpful :
11/05/17 17:47:53 - Starting UniBeast 8.0.0-20171030
11/05/17 17:48:10 - Copying Files...

....

I also check here : https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/unibeast-8-troubleshooting-notes.235489/
And i don't see anything. As i have pick the UEFI (because my motherboard support UEFI),so i also desactivate virtualization option into bios, without any success.

I don't have any idea now :(
Did someone will have a tips or an advice ?

thanks for help everybody

I have the same problem with High Sierra using Unibeast 8.0. it hangs on installing bootloader. Legacy is my choice. I have tried with several USB, 8GB and 16GB. BUT same problem each and every time. Also tried from my backup system 10.12.3 what can I do! Formated, (and reformated) each USB to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and GUID Partition Map. NO LUCK YET

I have the same problem! Using Yosemite, trying to upgrade/clean install to High Sierra. Changed definition from Mac Pro 3.1 to iMac 14.2, using properly formatted, big enough USB. Tried both UEFI and Legacy, both fail. Log is just as helpful as from OP.
Interesting: High Sierra is a tiny download. Maybe most files get downloaded during install? Also often have to delete and re-download the High Sierra installer from the App Store, since I often get the error that its incomplete. Maybe these things have to do something with each other. Also I cannot find anything helpful on the UniBeast 8 troubleshooting page. Suggestions welcome!

If your Install macOS High Sierra.app is less then 5 GB, then UniBeast will always fail as it's the stub installer.
Thanks MacMan! I couldn't download the full installer via the App Store, even though there weren't any updates available (suggested fix from multiple places). But instead I managed to download the full installer via an app called macOS High Sierra Patcher by "dosdude1". I believe I am not allowed to post a link though, so just google it. It's free. After opening, just click Tools->Download. Don't bother with the rest of the program, we'll use UniBeast. After downloading it will ask to create a bootable USB, just click later and close the program. There you go! A complete High Sierra installer straight from the apple servers. UniBeast will detect it and at least for me, it works now. Let's see if I can get it running on my system!

I think Unibeast should be updated. The latest HS 10.13.1 has 4.8gb only. The size limitation of Unibeast 8.1 must be revised.
—edit—
my apologies. Redownloaded Hs and confirmed it’s 5.2gb.
