Hi

I have Sierra 10.12.6 up and running and I am trying to install HS.
Config:
Gibagyte H67MA-USB3-B3 bios F8
CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3550 CPU @ 3.30GHz
Clover v2.4k r4297 in legacy mode on a SATA SanDisk SSD 120Gb
/dev/disk3 (internal, physical):
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: GUID_partition_scheme *120.0 GB disk3
1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk3s1
2: Apple_HFS Sierra 119.2 GB disk3s2
3: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk3s3

I have 2 other disk installed with W7 and W10

I have downloaded HS and have the full 5GB install file on /Applications
To avoid conversion to APFS, I ran the command "/Applications/Install mac OS High Sierra/Contents/Ressources/startosinstall --converttoapfs NO"
Just after this, it rebooted and when I select "macOS Install" from Clover it stop and I have no progression bar.
When I boot in verbose mode, first time it stops at :
HID : Legacy shim 2
SATA Warning Enable Drive PHY PM Failed

On a second attemp, it stops just after HID line above, the SATA line was not displayed.

So what's wrong with the SATA ?

My EFI folder content, config.plist and preboot.log and debug.log attached.

Thanks

Thanks Brebo.

Made few tests without success so far.

I tried to install the AppleAHCIPort in /L/E of my Sierra disk and launch Mac Os Install in Clover on the next reboot but same result.
In fact I am not too sure how the HS install works: it's adding an entry in Clover but there is no new physical disk: I guess this is pointing to some place on the Sierra disk where the HS install files are ?

I also tried to put AppleAHCIPort in clover in kext/10.13 and kext/10.13 directory but same result.

If i would try a fresh install from a multibeast HS key, where should I put the file on the USB key ?

I also tried to disable USB3 in Bios (JMicron) but no change.

Just to understand : when we expect this AppleAHCIPort file to be loaded and how to insure it will superseed the /S/L/E standard one ?
If it is needed to access my old SSD, I guess it should one of the first kext to be loaded, thus by clover ?

I have attached a screen shoot for more details.

[Guide] How to remove 'Boot OS X install from partition' from Clover bootloader

Will not work.

Add the Fix for ICH10 to the config.plist on the EFI partition of your USB key.

Have you ever found a fix for this?

Latest tests

I have installed Sierra on a hard disk to see if my Sandisk SSD Plus was the root cause, and then tried again to update to HS with the same result.

I also tried to patch the config.plist with ICH10 : the result when booting is in "HS update on Hard disk boot from disk.JPG"

I then tried to boot from the HS USB Install key on which I also applied the ICH10 key, result is in "HS update on hard disk boot from USB.JPG" with the patched config.plist attached.

So either I have wrongly patched or this is not the issue.

Disable all of the ACPI/DSDT fixes in your config.plist.
Remove the Fake ID for IntelGFX (0x12345678).
Why are you injecting Intel graphics when you have Nvidia ?
SIP should be fully disabled - CsrActiveConfig 0x67 not 0x3.

Too many unnecessary fixes in config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Fixes.
Remove all of them (or set false), then enable only those you actually need.

Success
P1LGRIM, BreBo : apologies. In my previous post, I was not clear enough : the attached file config.plist USB HS patché.plist was the file from a USB Key HS install made with Unibeast with the patch for ICH10. Thats why there was so many irrelevant entries.

From P1LGRIM post, I applied the SIP patch to be fully disabled - CsrActiveConfig 0x67 not 0x3 - in my config.plist (the one on my disk) and then retried from my hardisk and bingo, HS installed successfully.

I then tried on my Sandisk SSD Plus and it also worked. So HS is now up and running on the 2 disks.

My config.plist is attached, hope it could help others.

If you can look at it to see if there are no strange things ?
