hi all this is my first post and my first go at hackintosh.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Laptop,
with a Broadwell architecture as seen on my profile.
5-5300U 2,3 GHz
HD5500

problem:
I can't get the installer to boot, as it first got stuck at "end random seed", which I appearantly fixed by adding the correct
configured plist. however it now keeps going one step and tries to create a "apfs.efi-container 1079", which ends in a KP
and it reboots or is stuck at this point.

I have followed/tried:
[1]https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

the official create install usb guide
and also these:
[2]https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...on-gen-3-2015-model-using-clover-uefi.251383/
[3]https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-lenovo-x250.206197/
[4]https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...5th-gen-with-dual-boot-unchanged-win7.237922/

at which the second one has exactly my hardware specifications but is from 2016.

I used Clover (latest), Clover (4444) and Unibeast (8.3) for setting up the EFI partition.
I used:
-hfs.efi, apfs.efi, osxaptiofixdrv-64.efi, osxfatbinarydrv-64.efi, emuvariableuefi-64.efi
I added the plist_HD5300_HD5500_HD5600.plist (also renamed it).
additionally I changed the id to a fake one (0x1620006 - > 0x12345678).
I added the necessary kexts such as:
-fakesmc, intelmausi, acpibatterymanager, usbinjectall, vodoops2controller, genericusbxhci

just as the usb creation guide suggests -> [1]

it seems that very few people have this problem as I can't find related errors on the web.
I have also tried a cascade of different boot options, to no avail.

a friendly hint is appreciated

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"

@RehabMan

I have followed the instructions a good as I could.
If I have forgotten details. Pls make a specific suggestion.

The EFI/Clover you attached is not per guide.
Your profile is not filled out as per guide/FAQ (missing screen resolution).

@RehabMan
thx for the quick reply

I have updated my profile

yes I variated the efi/clover as the first time I tried according to the guide it got stuck on
"end random seed" I will now make a new usb and post its zip here as soon as the create installmedia method finishes.

EDIT:
so I uploaded the new clover, I tried to follow the guide "exactly" as I understood it.
pls point out mistakes

EDIT2:
I tried to install with the fresh usb and it is still stuck on the same error

god speed

The guide recommends AptioMemoryFix.efi instead of OsxAptioFix*.efi (as first try).
OsxAptioFix*.efi would likely require EmuVariableUefi-64.efi (EmuVariableUefi not used with AptioMemoryFix).
Guide mentions that certain Broadwell computers may need to use VBoxHfs-64.efi instead of HFSPlus.efi.
Don't forget to check your BIOS settings (eg. make sure TPM disabled, legacy boot enabled, CSM enabled, fast boot disabled, etc).

You forgot to press F2 and F4.

@RehabMan

I have created a new one with this efi configuration. Ill report as soon as createmediainstall is done

"forgot to press F2 and F4"? what do you mean with that?

EDIT:
The Bios is set as far I'd consider it correctly ill upload some pics.
maybe I missed something.thanks for pointing that out.

EDIT2:
AptioMemoryFix.efi instead of OsxAptioFix*.efi
+ VBoxHFS.efi instead of hfs.efi ( KP @ "end random seed")
AptioMemoryFix.efi instead of OsxAptioFix*.efi
+ hfs.efi (KP @ above mentioned problem// "efi_container_create...")

I will add the clover.zip in future, with the clover installer tool.

So the Bios is set up correctly just as the guide.
I think photos aren't really necessary. just in case I flashed it with the official new version from the
Lenovo page.

I also set up a new clover/efi with the best possible configuration.
couldn't figure out the "f2 and f4" thing as I am on a laptop and zip -r /path/to/dir is just simpler

ill report as soon as I try to install again

EDIT:
thank god, it seems the bios update did the trick.
I am now inside the installer. ill keep this thread open for further reports.

bare with me to the sound

Marked solved.

ill keep this thread open for further reports.

You will need to open a separate thread, as anything not related to the thread title is off-topic.
