Unfortunately no and I don't know how can I fix it.@matimoto Does your internal display function correctly after resuming from a system sleep or a display sleep?
What version of Sierra are you running?Unfortunately no and I don't know how can I fix it.
The latest one, 10.12.6What version of Sierra are you running?
The latest one, 10.12.6
Sounds like going to 10.12.3 may fix the issue
Compare framebuffer data in 10.12.3 and 10.12.6 for the ig-platform-id you're using.
Maybe something has changed there we can change back.
Any guides on how to do this? Would an ioreg export per the guide be enough?
Search for your ig-platform-id data in the framebuffer kext binary in a hex editor.
The data is not available in ioreg.
You will need both the 10.12.3 and 10.12.6 kext binary (AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelGraphicsFramebuffer).
