Hey guys,

I have an fresh installed Hackintosh High Sierra 10.13.3,
but my problem is the Hackintosh is laggy and sometimes a bit unresponsive.
I hope some of you can help me. I've already installed Nvidia Web Drivers.
"About this Mac" shows also correctly my Graphics card.

My Hardware is following:
Mainboard: MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
CPU: Intel i7-8700k
GPU: MSI GTX 1070 TI
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000

Thank you!

What do you mean by "laggy", is the computer slow? unresponsive?
or are you talking about the graphics being very slow and laggy?
It doesn't really matter what it shows in the "about this mac".
If you're talking about your graphics being laggy and glitchy its obviously because the web driver is either not functioning properly or is not working at all. Check what driver is being used at the top right corner in the Nvidia logo in the menubar, if it says Default OSX driver then your driver is not being used which explains why it's so laggy.

No the graphics is fine. When you launch a program or do something at some points the system hangs for a very short time (< 1s). You often see this by sliding trough fullscreen windows, but not only there.
On Windows the System runs perfectly fine without any lag or whatever.

Well I also have glitchy and laggy transitions in Chrome when going full screen on youtube videos
but then again... with Safari its completely smooth.
If you have that in every single app, I really don't have any idea where's the problem.
it could be just driver issues, it could be HDD/SSD issues, or it could be again as I said web driver issues.
cant really tell. Try removing the GPU and running with integrated CPU graphics and see if there are any glitches.
Obviously, none of the Nvidia cards are natively supported so glitches are to be expected, you'll just have to test.

Hey, could you tell me what web driver version you're using?
i just happened to update to 10.13.3 and install latest web drivers and got the exact same experience you're describing.

My solution was to downgrade the drivers to a more stable and unbroken version using this post.
it fixed all of the performance issues i had.
you could try this as well, maybe this could help.

Hey, um using Version 387.10.10.10.25.158, i'll try downgrading the driver.
Hope this will fix the issue. Thank you for the tip!

Edit: Thank you very much! It runs now much much smoother and feels better!

Awesome, glad I could help.
And yeah version .158 seems to be a bad release, hackintoshes can be a pain in the ass sometimes.
