Having an issue with a GTX 1060
Specs:
intel 8400
ASRock Z370M-ITX/ac
16Gb Ram

nvidia web driver current version installed successfully 378.10.10.10.25.102
config patch entered (new method)

If I add "lilu.kext" i get a boot loop. I don't know if i need any other kext files for the driver to work.
Attached is a copy of clover config.plist I'm using. Does anyone see a problem??

The only Kext files in my "other" folder is "NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext" and fakesmc of course.
I have been trying various boot args. nv_disable=1 and nada_drv=1
I was using ogpu graphics so there is a whole line in the config about changing GFX0 to IGPU. I just did the inverse of that when installing the 1060. I tried booting without the line... same results

Why are you using -disablegfxfirmware ?
Why the Fake ID for IntelGFX (0x59128086) ?
Inject Kexts should be Detect not Yes.

BIOS - Disable Integrated graphics - Set PEG as Primary
Use a digital connection - DVI or HDMI - VGA is not supported.
Boot with nv_disable=1
May need to update Clover
Install web drivers
Update web drivers to ensure that you have the correct version.
Config.plist - Do not inject Intel or Nvidia graphics and no ig-platform-id
Config.plist - Disable SIP completely - CsrActiveConfig 0x67
Edit config.plist - NvidiaWeb = true as per Link
May need to emulate native NVRAM - Problem 6 - Install EmuVariableUefi-64 and RC scripts.
Remove nv_disable=1 from config.plist
May need to install Lilu.kext , LiluFriend and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext

Potential Problems :
HDMI 2.0 is not supported - Use HDMI 1.4 (or lower)
If your graphics card has more than one output of the type that you are using then try another one.
Black Screen with MacPro 6,1 or iMac 15 or iMac 17 System Definition

Thanks so much for the reply!
I have removed the disablegfx boot arg... I changed it to detect instead of yes... I removed the fake cpu id line. I thought I had already removed it but apparently not.
I added lilufriend... did the nvram fix with clover. Now it works!!!
I think the main solution was the nvram. Lots of other stuff though that I obviously had wrong.
Thank you! Thank you!!

Edit: I had a boot loop so i had to remove both lilu.kext and lilufriend

UPDATE: Installed Mojave and now GTX 1060 works great.
