I apologise if this is already solved here but I can't find anywhere in the forum.
I have a Gigabyte X299 Ultra Gaming with 7900X and GTX 1080 Ti, I can't get into the installer unfortunately, I have built many Hackintosh's but this may be my first failure
I've attached my EFI including options that I have needed to boot 'a little further' each time but I've hit a wall it seems.
It would originally freeze/stop just after the ACPI Error: Method/parse execution failed. But then after adding npci=0x2000 (I missed that originally) it got a little further, but then I got to "Architecture could not be recognized" as seen in screenshot(s). And then finally the completely garbled display with the no entry sign which is where I currently am.
Has anyone experienced this before? I have applied the recommended Gigabyte BIOS settings as well as followed the installer creation guide using the scripts and so on.
Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
Full specs:
Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Gaming 1.0
Intel 7900x clocked (tiered) @ 4.7GHz
MSI 1080ti Gaming X 11GB
Samsung 960 PRO m.2
Alienware AW3418DW 3440x1440 @ 120hz
Custom hard line cooling loop (EK, Bitspower, Phanteks)
Update:
So I got it working, updated EFI folder attached. Dual boot with Windows 10 UEFI also working.
Steps:
1) No matter what I did I couldn't get it to boot the installer without cpus=1 in the boot options, so I just went with this and got it up and running.
2) Installed web drivers no problem and graphics worked, but still with only cpus=1
3) I tried ssdtPRGen, etc but nothing worked to get my system to boot with all CPUs, so eventually I built a custom VoodooTSCSync using this tool -> https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/t...r-create-a-custom-version-of-voodoo-tsc-sync/ - before you say anything, yes, I tried the TSC Reset kext from the original build guide but it didn't work for me.
4) Success! Booted with 10 cores and full graphics.
- No audio - tried clover ALC 1220 but couldn't get it working, settled for HDMI audio as my monitor has audio out and I use a USB DAC anyway.
5) No SMC / CPU status, trying the latest FakeSMC and modules just crashed boot, I cloned latest git and compiled latest master and that worked for me.
All of the above is included in the EFI.zip attached.
If you have a Gigabyte Aorus Ultra Gaming and 7900x with an NVIDIA graphics card you should be able to basically copy this EFI over your EFI partition and it should work for you.
