I've been trying to figure this out for days. Installed on hardware in my profile. 10.12.6 runs perfectly but only in OS x graphics. When I install and switch to Nvidia web drivers, on restart the desktop background is black and opening new windows are flakey and unreadable. Boot flags I've used are dart=0, nvda_drv=1, that doesn't work. Only allowing it to boot with inject nvidia selected works. I've tried upgrading clover to the latest version, editing the config.plist in plist editor pro with the post about the new way of enabling nvidia web drivers, still no joy. Everything else works fine, so should I just use the OS drivers or keep trying to find a solution? I've the BIOS set up as per tonymacx86 guide and everything other procedure has been followed carefully as well.

Thanks in advance.

IIRC, only the 730/740 with GDDR 5 memory needs the Nvidia drivers. Your card can use the Apple macOS drivers as the 730 is an updated 630.

No problem, thanks for that. Been wrecking my brain for the last week trying to get it to work with Nvidia drivers  well at least now I know. Thank you :)

You are correct in saying that the GT 730 GDDR3 doesn't need Nvidia drivers. The OS x drivers work perfectly fine as you've said, after a lot of bench testing as well. The ones with GDDR5 do need the drivers.

Hi both.

Yep I can confirm the advice from @Stork (never in doubt!) as I had GT730 's both in GDDR3 and GDDR5 versions. Only 5 needs the web drivers.

:)

After four years my GT 630 is nearly dead (Gigabyte Z77-DS3H motherboard) ( So I replace it by Asus GT 730 (DDR5) on Mac OS Sierra. This card works OOB only Nvidia Inject is set. I try nvidia web driver too but apps like LuxMark 2.1 or LuxMark3.1 not working...That is something wrong with OpenCL. Without nvidia web driver all is OK.

I've got a PC with MSI GT730 4GB DDR3, that's the Fermi version and Biostar G41D3C motherboard. In my situation I have the GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x3000 in the chameleon, it works fine with QECI enabled! But there is a bug that the graphics memory shows only 2GB, not sure why.

Does it show that on the About This Machine tab?

My MSI Geforce GT730 2GB DDR3 only shows on the "The About This Mac" as 1024MB, is there any fix? Thanks

Open the config.plist in clover configurator. Open the graphics tab. Once opened, look for the small box that says "VRAM". Type in 2048MB into this box. Save the config.plist. Restart the machine. Your graphics should read the 2048MB now.
