Hey all, until yesterday, I had been running Yosemite 10.10.2 with no issues using my onboard Firewire 800/400 port. However, upon installing Sierra (which went outstandingly smoothly thanks to unibeast/multibeast... seriously, you guys are incredible), I cannot get Sierra to recognize that I have a Firewire port. I tried manually adding firewire kexts, but to no avail. I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck getting Firewire to get picked up using Sierra.
EDIT: Oh heavens.... Never mind. I had somehow lost my original bios settings and it had turned off my firewire port. Nothing to see here. For anyone seeing this in the future... make sure your bios didn't turn off VIA 1394.
