I already have a that file in the path that you mentioned before . Do I have to modify the actual file or replace it?
I have attached the actual config file from my PC so you can see it in order to help me with my question.

Thanks

Depends on what you're trying to do with config.plist...

Sorry , but I don't understand what you mind , could please tell what are my options?

Thanks

Sorry for the questions , I am new in this. :)

I have a old notebook ASUS G60VX , I installed El capitan yesterday , but I couldn't fix yet the sound .
My notebook has a Realtek ALC633.
Could you please help me to get it working?

Thanks in advance

Read the ACPI patching guide (it has details on patched AppleHDA): http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-support/152573-guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.html

Read also the FAQ: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Then read post #5 here. There is a an AppleHDA injector for ALC663 that you can use. AppleHDA injectors have all the same requirements as far as DSDT patches, but also a few other requirements for how to rebuild cache (it is covered in the FAQ), and also requires a few patches for AppleHDA in config.plist.

Thanks for the guide!!! I was reading the FAQs , so what I have to do , if I get it right is :

1-Copy DummyHDA in S/L/E
2-Copy CodecCommander in EFI/BOOT/KEXT/10.11
3-Replace the info.plist file from post #5 in AppleHDA.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext/Contents/Info.plist

Then boot without caches , rebuild cache and then restart?

Am I right?

Install with a kext installer. You cannot install kexts with Finder.

All kexts should be installed to the system volume.

No need to patch AppleHDA when using a dummyHDA.

You do need the patches for AppleHDA added to your config.plist (in KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch).

Hi ,

Can you please confirm how and where exactly should be the path to KextToPatch , I can't find it.

Thanks in advance

KextsToPatch is config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch.

Read the Clover wiki: https://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration#Config.plist-structure

The specific patches needed are codec dependent.

You should start out by using patched AppleHDA.kext... get it working, then transition to DummyHDA.

Yeeeaaaaahhh! The sound is working!!!
Thank you RehabMan! Thanks to your support and this blog for helping me to get the sound working again!
I really appreciate your help! Thanks again!

Best regards!
