Hi all, I'm currently on version 2999 of clover, 3185 is available, and even though the installer confirms the update is successful, when I reboot, I still have the same version, 2999.

Anyone else having the same issue, or know how to resolve this?

Thanks

Check your Clover install logs. You're probably not installing with the right options (seems like perhaps you're installing in legacy mode).

You have two disks with an EFI folder. Which one did you update and which one are you booting from?

clover failing to update

booting from and updating disk0. log is located on disk0.

You should verify by looking at your Clover install log and your bootlog.

Also, it is not clear you did Clover UEFI install. Keep in mind that the Clover installer defaults to legacy.

Note: This is a downside of using PBI-CE. It does not install Clover as the Clover installer does, so when you go to run the actual Clover installer, you have to be aware and select the appropriate options. Or you could wait until PBI-CE is updated to use the version of Clover you want.

This is probably it then..

I think I may have been updating clover with clover config, and not noticed its not updating until now, Im not changing any settings.

Install is UEFI without CSM.

These are the options checked in clover installer (I've never changed these)

Install for uefi booting only
Install clover in ESP
OSXaptiofixDRV-64
Install RC scripts on target volume
Install clover pref pane

Just tried updating cover only with latest PBI. same thing

Why don't you check the file dates/times/sizes of your various EFI folders...

clover failing to update

After upgrading Clove, EFI partition will be mounted. Check if that partition is disk0s1 or disk1s1. Also, check if you have EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi

@rob1980

Note that the Clover installer is very predictable as to which EFI it will install to... It will always install to the EFI that is associated with the install target volume (eg. the volume you select to install to). This may or may not be the boot EFI when you have multiple drives.
