I would like to know if there's a way for Clover to boot directly into OS X without waiting 10 seconds?
If possible, is it also possible to go to the Clover boot menu only if a key is pressed?

Long boot time to the menu could mean you have logging turned on. I don't have a link for you but look into making sure logging is turned off.

I don't think you can set it so the menu appears with a keypress but I could be wrong.

I don't have long boot times. I have an SSD with logging turned off. I just wanted to know if you can skip the bootloader 10 second delay.
