Hi,

Gigabyte GA-H170N-Wifi
Intel Core i7 6700
Gigabyte Geforce GTX650 2GB

This is a totally fresh install of Sierra with the above hardware, but I can't get the Geforce 650 to output anything to my monitor. The internal Intel HD7000 graphics works fine.

I'm sure this is something I've done wrong / not yet done when it comes to injecting or not injecting! The system recognises it has the card plugged in if I visit System Report (although reports it as 1MB VRAM) with device ID 0x1912 and the card works fine in the BIOS.

The 650 I have features 2 x dvi out, 1 x hdmi and a VGA out. I've tried plugging into both DVIs without success. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

aha, thanks. The screen goes black after 90% of the boot process, I'd guess just before the login screen is drawn

Aside from this issue, should I set 'inject Nvidia' from Multibeast?

No, the GTX 650 should work out of the box with full acceleration with native drivers and NO injection.

Great, thanks. Sounds like I need to investigate this MacPro6,1 issue.

Appreciate your help.

Cheers,

Steve

Because of the "MacPro 6,1 causing black screen" issue as mentioned above.

Mac Pro 6,1 is incorrect for your hardware. Should be using iMac 14,2.
