[Solved] cannot download el capitan

I'm running 10.6.8 and after signing into app store, i cannot download el capitan. can someone please help me with this?

In theory if you have Mac Pro 3,1 system definition then El Capitan should be available. Are you getting any message to give you a reason as to why you cannot download El Capitan?

it does not give any reason, it just does not respond to the 'get' button.

Check that ethernet is set to en0, see the following thread:

its in en0.
i tried again, but the 'get' button wont work. can someone else please try to see if they can download it? maybe its not working?

Ok, I updated the software (under apple logo menu) and am now downloading El Capitan. Thank you.
