Hi,

I build the CustoMac mATX with the following configuration:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/buyersguide/august/2018/#CustoMac_mATX

My problem is that the Hackintosh cannot boot without the USB Stick. If I boot without the USB Stick then the Clover Boot Manager starts. It shows the correct option Boot macOS from SAMSUNG EVO (yeah I failed to rename the drive but anyway) but the boot process will start over and over again. MacOS never starts. Something seems to be missing.
See Image1.

If I boot with the USB Stick, then the menu of Image2 appears. I choose Boot macOS from SAMSUNG EVO and macOS starts as it should.

I found this post https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-high-sierra-wont-boot-without-usb.250762/
Problem is: On my USB-Stick the EFI Backup Folder is empty. And the EFI Folder on my Stick was created by myself and only contains a plist and a kext. See Image3.

Please can someone help me out?

Fakesmc.kext should be in clover/kexts/other

also if you can boot from usb, then mount efi from usb, copy efi to desktop, eject usb

mount efi on hard drive, delete efi folder, move efi folder from desktop to efi on hard drive

Ah... now I understood something. I had to
- stick the usb stick into the hackintosh
- start Clover Configurator in macOS and navigate to Mount EVI (on the left side)
- then mount both EFI Folders (the one on the stick AND the one on the Desktop) there are two!!
- copy the EFI Folder from the mounted USB Drive to the Mounted Desktop Drive
- reboot
now when I boot, only Image2 appears (the black bootloader)
I did not know that there is an unmounted EFI Folder on the USB Drive :crazy:

Bonus Question:
If I boot and see the bootloader, then the cursor is not on the correct boot option. I'd like to use the apple bluetooth keyboard and trackpad. But they aren't working while booting up. So I have to use a wired usb keyboard to choose the correct boot option. Is there any possibility to either
1) set the cursor to the correct boot option
or
2) make the blueetooth keyboard work while booting?
(Tell me if I should open a new issue for this)

in your config.plist you can choose which drive to boot from with a count down ie 5 secs:
