My setup is

ASRock Z370M-ITX/ac with BIOS V3.20
SSD 250Gb
I3 8350K
Corsair 2x8Gb.

I created a USB Drive with Unibeast v9.

I reformated the SSD to AFPS in diskutil, as per installation guide.

Mojave then installed OK and I was able to create a logon in Mojave.

I ran Multibeast 10.4 and it completed successfully.

I selected very few options: Realtek 1200 audio, UEFI boot.

Since then I have been unable to load Mojave, neither directly booting from the SSD (I get a blank black screen), nor via the clover options.

One of the clover options (Pre-bootloader) gives a "no entry" sign.

Booting directly from the SSD just drops out to a re-boot.

I can't now get access to Mojave to try more Multibeast options.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

(the sig below is out of date. I will amend. My profile is correct.)

Hi there. A blank black screen sounds like display drivers. Does your Caps Lock keyboard light go on/off? If so the system hasn't crashed.

Are you using the UHD630 ? You say sig is wrong etc...

Can you boot ok using the UniBeast stick, then choosing the second from right Clover boot icon?

:)

Thanks, UtterDisbelief. I attach the Multibeast file that I saved. Sorry, I misedited my Sig. No, not using HD630. Using onboard graphics that worked fine right from the start.

But youre right, it looks like graphics.

I'll check again for the keyboard capslock.

I repeated the install and Multibeast install, and the graphics were fine. I'm using the onboard displayport.

I've adjusted the BIOS boot priorities and now when it boots from the SSD UEFI, it goes straight into Clover.

Selecting "Boot from SSD" results in:

- Black Screen, white apple, progress bar for 30 seconds, disk activity

- black screen.

That's as much as I know. It's past my bedtime. Will try again in the morning.

Almost there!

Update this morning: I can boot fine from the Unibeast stick, and am writing this post from running Mojave.

But booting from the SSD UEFI is still eluding me.

When booting from the UEFI, the boot up is slow and then the screen goes black. More than that; the monitor loses the signal. I am using the DisplayPort.

But, as you can see, boots fine from Unibeast UEFI partition.

Bit stumped now.

I thought that Multibeast copied the UEFI partition to the SSD.

And why the disconnect of the monitor?

Wifi not working. Although see screenshot attached.

Here is the clover install log.

Aha! A fix!

I used

Clover UEFI Boot Mode with Emulated NVRAM v2.4k r4586

and then booted from the Clover menu to the SSD. It was slow, thought about it a lot, but then loaded Mojave.

I have no idea why it worked. I had included Emulated NVRAM in my Multibeast build.

So unless you hear otherwise in subsequent posts, I have a fix.

Damn and double damn.

I was Migrating data from a Time Machine backup and left my desk for a while. When I got back the white Apple wa staring at me and the machine no longer boots from the SSD, nor will it boot from the USB.

Back to square one.

I could really do with some help here.

I have installed Mojave and migrated apps and users from a Time Machine backup and I can no longer boot to Mojave, either directly or from the Unibeast USB.

It was working and now it's not and I have no idea what to do next.

I've spent three days on this. If I can't sort it out soon, I shall be off to buy a mac mini from Apple. And that will P*** me off.
