This guide is very complex. Is there another, easier way to solve the USB issue ?

No.
And it is quite easy actually.
Just follow the guide as written.

What about my hard drive situation. I wrote the following in post #9:

'I don't have a NVMe hack. It worked OOB with High Sierra.
So do I still have then to convert from APFS to HFS+J ?'

Could you please give a comment ?

I already commented regarding NVMe+APFS in post #6.
Off-topic here anyway.

I know, but I was not sure what you ment with 'NVMe hack'.
Since the kext is working for me, can you mark this thread as solved ?

I replaced the wifi card and it works now with BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext

How difficult is to change the card? Was it only the matter to unscrew the 2 screws, disconnect the old card the antenna cables?

Yes, just unscrew the 2 screws and disconnect the antenna cables :)
Hi. I've got the same board and found the removal of the m2 wifi was easy if anyone else is wondering too.
Which, card did you get to replace it with?
Do you have a link or specific part number?
Thanks!
