[solved] Black Screen with QHD+ IPS Notebook

Hi @all,

i'am the unlucky one at this time.
I bought an Asus UX305FA with QHD+ IPS Display. I got nearly everything working expect the Display.

The UX305FA has an Core M-5Y10c Prozessor with Intel HD 5300, 8GB RAM
The Display Resolution is 3200x1800 Pixel

My BIOS VRAM ist set to 128MB

For SMBIOS i tried MacBook Pro 11,2 and MacBook Air 6,2

I injected "ag-platform-id" -> 0x161e0001 in clover und got the kext for HD5300 loaded, but with the black screen. If I don't inject Intel it works without QE/CI with no kext loaded. I activated screensharing, made a reboot with inject intel and accessed it by vnc. So it was possible to check if kext for Graphics is loaded and which display is detected. Framebuffer Driver is loaded.

With SMBIOS MacBook Pro 11,2 a 12" Retina Display was detected.
With SMBIOS MacBook Air 6,2 a 13" non Retina Display was detected

So finally everything seems to work perfect except the Display.



I also tried to inject EDID that i've extracted from Linux with get-edid, without success.
The Display remains black.

At this point I need your Help. I don't know what i can do. I can't find a Post with an Solution after hours looking around.

How do you know? And by VRAM do you mean DVMT-prealloc?

Use 0x16260006.

Did you patch IOKit? (it is required).

yes. i meant DVMT Prealloc. Sorry, was late yesterday.

No, I didn't patch iokit. So, i'll try your suggested solutions and post the result here.
