Are you dual booting with Windows?

I have the same board and cpu as you and also when I log out of windows and boot into OSX my bluetooth usually works in OSX. But if I cold boot into OSX then usually there is no bluetooth device detected.

Something to do with the Windows drivers activating the bt device and so it stays active in osx too.
Not sure if this is your experience too but its my explanation.

Actually, when you bootup into Windows, it loads the bluetooth firmware and rebooting into Mac will retain the firmware in the bluetooth device. If you want the bluetooth to be available without a need to boot into Windows first, do visit the following link:
