I had previously been able to use VoodooHDA 2.7.2 on Mac OS X Lion to get sound working on my laptop. After installing El Capitan 10.11.4, I used the VoodooHDA 2.8.8 .pkg from SourceForge and had working sound again.
After installing the 10.11.5 update, sound broke. When I tried to reinstall the .pkg, it showed it's incompatible with my operating system version and if I ignore the warning the install fails. Installing through Multibeast works, but gives the "No voodoohda devices found" error because the .kext doesn't load. I'm at the end of my knowledge. I'm using kext-dev-mode=1 boot flag.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
