Hi All,

so i manage to install an almost perfectly working Yosemite 10.10.5 on my Alienware 17 with this spec :

i7 4700 QM
16 GB DDR 3 1600 Mhz
GTX 770M - 3GB
2 SSD + 2HDD

My installation step is using Unibeast to create Clover based installation disk using "Yosemite Install App" from App Store.

Everything went fine. Boot the installation with -v npci=0x2000 and dart=0

Nvidia Graphic went native directly since my latest BIOS give an option to disable IGPU

CPU power management work directly as well.

as for post installation. I only copy PS2, FakeSMC, Blueetoth, and Wireless Kext to my Clover EFI Folder.

For sound, i'm using VoodooHDA and working well. The button also work to adjust the volume.

i also patch the DSDT to get the brightness adjusment work

One last thing that i still can't manage to get work is the Battery. (am already using ACPIBAtteryManager.kext) --> Which surprisingly working out of the box with 10.9.5, but not with Yosemite

Could you please help to take a look into the DSDT and help me to patch it ?

Thank You very much!

Attached is my DSDT -> Post Brightness fix patched

[Need Help] 99% Working Yosemite. Still can't manage to path battery on DSDT

Thank You,

Got it fully working now!

Marked solved.

Marked solved.

Sorry, was jumped too fast.

So, it actually working, the battery status. But the capacity is incorrect,

somehow it only detect my battery as a 523 mAH meanwhile it was supposed to be 7,166 mAH (86 wH) - causing the percentage drop down so fast and say that i got low battery.

any idea what might cause it ?

It means you patched your DSDT incorrectly. Double check your work, per guide. If you need help, read guide section "Problem Reporting".
