Hey guys,

I just bought a Solarflare SFN5122F SFP+ Card for my cMP.
The card was installed properly, but i couldn't find any drivers for Mac OS on
the solarflare Homepage.

Do you have some advices for me or download link for the mac os driver?

Wow. I'm surprised they removed the drivers from their downloads page.

Here's everything you will need to get that card working in macOS.

Hey Guys,

I purchased a SFN7122F SFP+ card for my 2013 Mac Pro. Does anyone know where I can find the drivers for the card? I installed the card in a Sonnet Echo Express II expansion case. I tried using the drivers PastryChef posted above but it didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you pastrychef, I downloaded and installed drivers from the link you posted. They installed perfectly, but the System Preferences panes always says "cable unplugged". Could somebody help me?
I run sfupdate and it says there is a firmware update inside the driver package. Which version of firmware are you using?
The card is a SFN5122F SFP+ installed in an Xserve 2,1 with a sfp+ dac 10G cisco SFP-H10GB-CU2M

Sorry. I don't remember. I switched to AQC-107 based 10GBase-T a while back...

Thank you so much for your reply, no problem
Anyone else?

Made firmware update, still cable unplugged, but it is in the solarflare compatibility list (and the cable works...)

Ok, solved. I write this because maybe someone will read it and could find it useful. It was the cable; I checked it with others network cards and works perfect, but not with this Solaflare. I used another original cisco cable, 3m long this time, and it works. Don't know if the problem was the cable or the card connector, I have another identical Solarflare and maybe I will check it if possible
Thanks again pastrychef for the driver link

It looks like this driver is only 32-bit and will be unrunnable in catalina. Anyone have a workaround for this?
Why do you say that? the driver is 64bit. While macOS has continued to support 32bit applications (until catalina), 32bit driver support ended a very long time ago. Like back with Lion i think. Are you getting some sort of software compatibility prompt? it is always possible there are external components to the driver/software package that are 32bit apps.

I personally installed about a dozen solarflare cards in client and some of my own systems back when they were some of the most affordable and best performing mac compatible 10GBase-T cards. I am really disappointed that they just up and ended macOS support. Luckily the driver seems to work fine up through at least Mojave. I think we ought to all pester support for some level of basic macOS support and validation going forward though.
