Hello. Here is my build.

Intel Core I5-2500K
MSI Radeon 6950 Twin Frozr III 1GB (Since this card isn't supported, i use intel 3000 graphics, install kext and fix permissions)
Gigabyte Z68x-UD3H-B3 (Rev 1.0) , UEFI U1H Bios
12GB Memory (Memory slots 1-3=Gskill Sniper 1600 4gbs *2) (Mem slots 2-4= Gskill Ripjaws 1600 2gb *2)
HDD (Seagate Barracuda 160GB 7200rpm 8MB Cache)
USB keyboard/mouse

I have been successful in installing mac osx snow leopard 10.6. After that install, I ran update helper, updated to 10.8, didn't restart, put in intel 3000 kexts, ran multibeast 3.1 snow leopard edition, ran sysem utilities & the other settings and then reboot. However, i can't get into my 10.8 snow leopard OS through chimera or charmeleon 2.1. I have a feeling it has to do with my multibeast setup because if I boot with my IBoot cd, i get in the OS with no problems whatsoever. Does anyone with this board (1.0 or 1.3 the only difference is 1.3 supports PCI-E 3.0 v. PCI-E 2.0 in Rev 1.0 so it should be the same if you have 1.3) with this BIOS have a multibeast configuration or a configuration of programs i can use to get my system to boot up?

Here is some more info of what I did
1. I Read that U1H Bios does not need DSDT so i unchecked DSDT one time and checked it another (both with no dsdt on desktop) on multibeast. No dice.
2. Surprisingly, my network card worked straight out of the box so to say on lion 10.6. I didn't need a kext to turn it on. however, i still tried out the realtek one as it was recommended by other guides.
3.I used the realtek 8xx driver and the rollback one on multibeast for audio
4. Used chimera the first time and charmeleon with multiple combinations, no dice
5. tried many boot settings (graphicsenabler, safe mode, verbose, to no avail)

Hardware configuration
1. I decided to unplug all of my hard drives except for my seagate 160gb one. I have only my keyboard/mouse plugged in to USB ports (which work good as they are usb) when i install.
2. For installation purposes i took out 3 of my ram sticks. therefore, i only have one 4gb gskill sniper in.
3. My first boot device for installation was my dvd drive and after i reboot from the 10.8 update, i changed boot devices to my hard drive.

I also tried these with the 10.6.7 combo update & original snow leopard 10.6 install. Pretty frustrating. The fact that all of them boot from iboot did quell some of my frustration though. Also, i don't need any terminal commands to boot through IBoot 3.3. ive tried a bunch of combos for chimera-chameleon but didn't work.

Also, i do not encounter kernel panics when i try to boot from chimera or chameleon. All it does is show the grey apple screen with the apple logo and a spinning wheel. the wheel just keeps on spinning over and over... my hard drive stays active
but then stops lighting up after 3 minutes according to the indicator showing an idle HDD. i left it for 30 minutes once and the spinning thing under the apple logo on boot just kept spinning. When i reboot and boot from my iboot cd, it takes a minute or 2 if that to boot into my system. Hopefully i gave you guys enough information so that you can help me fix this problem. Thank you for your time.

Your post sounds like you have several issues - one getting your hardware to work "normallY" on either 10.6.6 or 10.6.8 so you can install OSX10.8 Mountain Lion. This is the result of being on the bleeding edge (10.8) - shame you didnt go 10.7.4 fist then to 10.8 - but I would have used seperated disk partitions for this .... if this is correct then you have two issues a 10.6 problem which this forum is for and a 10.8 issue which this forum is not for - need to open seperate thread in the 10.8 desktop forum!

Ok If you are still using iBoot and Multibeast (latest versions for 10.6) and you are still using iBoot to "boot" from - then this idicates your are having issues w the Boot loader which is installed via Multibeast. And then you need to run system utilities all options to parse the permissions on all of the files you coppied during the install process. You may also want to use some command line switchs on you reboot inorder to get a clean boot.

What I suggest is to begin again and to it in steps ( writing it down) and not a "shotgun" approach to resolving your issues - my hack took 10 days and about 3 weeks of reading.

I have a list of some information that was very helpful to me that is posted - also I found several websites that cover install / building a hack like the one you have - this is the site I would read first as he covers software install problems.

Thank you for your reply. I knew this hackintosh thing would be tough and am looking forward to reading up from your links so i can finally figure out my problem. Reading the first link now. I've noticed though that you didn't post anything about uefi bios. im pretty sure thats my main problem as i don't know how to configure multibeast for it but these other articles seem great for creating a flawless install. I think i'm going to again start over fresh tonight and i will write down exactly what i did while reading some of these articles. Thank you for replying to me. I was practically going nuts over this but its good 2 know others can help. i'll repost if i get success from this so others with my mobo + bios could read up.

If you want to know more about UEFI here is a link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_Extensible_Firmware_Interface

UEFI is used by Apple and other manufactures (IBM) for its 64Bit OS structure which started in the development of the OSX10.6
Prior version didnt need this as much as they were able to use the nomal Bios that us computer users know about to build non Apple computers w a legal OS install disk -

Side note that MS did want to partake in the development of UEFI as it was'nt necessecary in their eyes do to anything with what MS OS installe process at the time (32 bit mode). Much of this was due to legacy issues that MS and Board Manufactures were afraid of (rocking the boat so to speak).

So as Apple wanted a newer hardware platform Intel Processors - Apple started to develop a use for this structure in their newer hardware and made the old Apple hardware obsolte on many levels. After all the NEW Apple Developer hardware platform was just industry mother boards (Gigabyte and Intel) - with Intel CPUs sold at very high markup to developers - this was the status quo untill someone peeked into the box! And the Hack was born so to speak.

What was needed to happen was some creative thinking to fake out or emulate the EFI Apple Bios so that it would be able to use on standard PC hardware. The group that came up w this decieded to name the process Chameleon and this is what we use to boot to mac os as the Chamelon Boot loader injects the correct attributes ( kexts) into the Real Mac OS so it will load up. And you get a Mac OSX on non Mac hardware.....

I learned this all on the internet and as we all know the Internet can't be wrong!
But you milage may vary.

Ok back to playing Starcraft2....

Thanks for that. i'll read up on it in depth in the morning :)

Thanks to everyone here for helping me. turns out, i couldn't boot because i used the easybeast method. If you are using UEFI bios, use the userdsdt method and don't put a dsdt on the desktop. Also, use an SSDT (If you are using a core I of course). it doubles your score in geekbench :headbang:. these settings work for me in mountain lion 10.8 but also worked for me in snow leopard 10.6.8 & mountain lion 10.7.
