Snow Leopard on 4530s

Has anyone installed SL on here successfully? If so, please share how.

EDIT: Temporary guide:

I am going to be upgrading the pack soon to include it. The guide as well, including a multi beast rewrite.

To install basic SL:
-use iboot and the disc to install Sl
-install MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.7 and restart
-use iboot to start the SL, run update helper and restart with iBoot still in.
-copy and paste extra folder from the latest pack pack to SL partition
- run DSDT Auto-Patcher to make dsdt.aml and place it in extra folder
-install AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext,ApplePS2Controller.kext,Extra.kext from the pack, in the Kexts folder and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext from the internet
-run kext utility
-in extra folder, edit org.chameleon.boot.plist to add

-install MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8
-restart with iboot
-install chimera
-download SpeedStepper and follow instructions from here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... pic=258611
-delete NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
-repair permissions and rebuild cache
-restart
-open System Preferences /Print&Fax -right click on white space - Reset printing system-to avoid No limit for Validate-Job defined in policy kerberos - using Print-Job's policy in error log
-Software update -install all updates

Thats the basic (slightly cleaner) guide. I'll make a simpler one when I update the pack.

Hi,blueking,I have installed SL ,but I am not sure how successfully."Everything" is working except vga and hdmi out(I don`t use them anyway ),Sometimes there is problem with bluetooth and I have to switch in windows to get it again working.Also temperature monitor constantly shows 46-49°C ,which is a little high IMO.But there are no video glitches and no freezing ,so most of the time I am on SL.If you`re still interested I`ll explain how I did it.

Not exactly,the model is HP ProBook 4530s LH309EA - i5 2410M, Radeon HD 6490M, Intel HD Graphics [8086-0116] ,Atheros 802.11b/g/n.

Hi,I am sorry for my English ,it`s not my native language and I am not a big writer as well.I`ve just followed guides from this forum and insanelymac and I want to thank you for your help.
The Staff I have used: the 4530s v2.5.9 pack from Install Guide,iboot,update helper,MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.7,MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8,Kext Wizard,Chameleon Wizard,NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and of course Snow Leopard install disk.
And here is the process:
-in bios /system Configuration uncheck Switchable Graphics
-Follow this http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html guide to step 3
-install MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.7 and restart
-use iboot to start the SL, run update helper and restart
-use iboot again
-copy and paste extra folder from 4530s v2.5.9 pack to SL partition
- run DSDT Auto-Patcher to make dsdt.aml and place it in extra folder
-install AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext,ApplePS2Controller.kext,Extra.kext from 4530s v2.5.9 pack/Kexts and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext in System/Library/Extensions.I use Kext Wizard for that and repair permissions ,rebuild cache
- may be here is the problematic part for some of you :add in org.chameleon.Boot.plist the string suggested from user marcvaz here viewtopic.php?f=15&t=23197&start=10 .It`s easy with Chameleon Wizard
-install chameleon,right now I`m with v2 r1664
-install MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.8
-restart and boot without iboot
-in my case WiFi was working,but with low range,so in System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortAtheros9388.kext/Info.plist I have changed IONameMatch to pci168c,2a
-download SpeedStepper and follow instructions from here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... pic=258611
-delete NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
-repair permissions and rebuild cache
-restart

-also can check Switchable Graphics in bios

Thanks for this, set it up today using this guide and the 2.5.11 pack instead, worked great except I had to download the wireless kexts from kext.com as I have the ebay Atheros wireless.

No more graphical distortion or lock ups, and geek bench score is the same as Lion 10.7.2. Will be using this as my main OS for now as I need stability.

So you're running snowleopard with full qe/ci?
Did you install the kexts suggested by eleron or did you just run the 2.5.11 pack? Which options did you choose??
