by default IGPU without any injection is shown as Intel HD Graphics CFL CRB, for me it is necessary to add IGPU "AAPL, ig-platform-id" = 0300983e to be recognized as "Intel HD Graphics CFL" like real iMac 19,1

I think I'm wrong, I've edited the post, there does not seem to be any difference in changing the serial. but in the real iMac 19,1 (9900k) the serial number end with JV40.

@DexterOX could you please check in the real iMac ioreg. is Intel using Accelerator from KBL or CFL? My intel shows framebuffer CFL but Accelerator shows KBL.

I also checked IGPU picture previous page you shared. Your ig-platform-id and device-id are same. My ig-platform-id 0300913e and device-id 983e0000. are you inject intel?

Now that 10.14.5 is fully out, do we think it's time for me to try iMac 19-something again to best match up to my i7-8700 + RX580 and iGPU "off"

No. DRM only works with iMac Pro 1.1
Edit : I think it’s safe to try iMac 19.1 with IGPU off .

I have no RX580 but under 14.14.5 B3 the temperature for my Vega 64 is at 33 degrees celsius without fans (idle)

Now running the released 10.14.5 as smbios 19,1 with z370, i7-8700k and RX 580 Nitro+, but still seeing idle temps on the 580 GPU around 46-51 during normal light use (fans off). Seems like no improvement over 10.14.4 and smbios 18,3. Would prefer normal use / idle temps to be in the 30s instead (as I recall it is when seldomly booting in Win or hearing other's idle temps).

@DexterOX Do you happen to know if the real 2019 imacs display the graphics in About This Mac as "Radeon RX580" or "AMD Radeon RX580"?
