9700K here. Tried with 0x0709 with the special build 18E2034 and SMBIOS 19,1 but no luck. Still shows 3.6 GHz Unknown.

Then try with 0x0708. My CPU is i5 8400 and I can make it show i9 with 0x1009. Now I am using 0x0609.

Edit: tried 0x0709 and it is showing i7.

Thanks. Will try when 10.14.5 officially launches. What happens when you try 0x0708?

Successfully switched to 19,1 with the special build of 10.14.4. It seems headless IGPU is still up and running for me, at least that's what it looks like in IOReg. Applied cpu type 0x1009 in config.plist and i9 is showing up correctly. Thanks ya'll

Edit: I didnt sign out of icloud before updating, and surprisingly it never bumped me off. imessage, handoff, all still work without me having to do anything. I did have to re-sign into all my programs, however (photoshop, capture one, etc)

I don't get it why people are using HD630 in Headless mode? I just Inject intel and my HD630 natively working and getting the full acceleration. QE/CI, Metal and Video Decoder full supported.

You are, of course, free to configure your hack any way you like, but on real iMacs, the IGPU is headless. Therefore, if you want to mimic a real iMac as closely as possible, headless configuration is more desirable.

I was just wondering why people are using headless. Thanks to you I know now.

0x1009 its for i9, he has i7 9700k
Ha, that's very interesting. So I tried 0x1009 and it shows i9 correctly. But it won't show i7 when I applied 0x0709. Are you using the special 10.14.4 build 18E2034 or the general one?

Maybe because the 9700 is not used. The only I7 I see is the 8th Gen.

Yes the special build. Try 0x0701 and will show i7 for sure.
