Yeah, I'd have to disagree there... this setup only uses last year's stuff, meaning it'll likely support iterations of the Mac OS for years to come. By the time these parts are outdated and incapable of running the latest and greatest software - you'll probably have updated anyway.

It'll be a long time before your machine (on these parts) legitimately can't operate the Hackintosh.

Enjoy whatever setup you choose, it's a very rewarding process if you've never built your own rig!

Weirdest thing started happening. I have no sound when the computer wakes up from sleep.

Yeah, it's a known bug I believe, started happening with the release of 10.9.4. Some have said that the older audio drivers in Multibeast 6.2.2 (I think) were helpful in fixing the issue, but I've still got the same problem (albeit less frequently).

Pain in the butt, but typically a restart will help.

Anybody updated their rig to Yosemite yet?

    Any successes or failures?

Im currently trying with the exact same build (except for GTX 760). The first time the installation went all smooth until rebooted after installing some things via multibeast. After that I got the slashed circle. Currently trying my luck again, lets see...

EDIT: For some reason it worked the second time!! Its great, upon booting it doesnt even show the usual "grey start screen" but jumps straight to the desktop (on SSD)

Richie3000, I've installed Yosemite in July. Multibeast 5.5.5 and Clover v2k_r279 - works perfectly.
