Hey ya,

I just installed MacOS 10.6.7 with autopatched DSDT and BridgeHelper.
So far everything seems to work fine except for my dvd and harddrives,
they seem to be very slow. I tried to Install Cubase6 and it took me almost
1 hour (1DVD), normally its much faster. So i downloaded AJA System Test
to test my SATA drive speed and my 1GB wd harddrive got 103 MB/s write
and 105mb/s read. If my DVD drive is working the write speed of my hard
drive drops to 60MB/s and read speed to 80MB/s. Any ideas whats wrong?
The system profiler tells me "unknown AHCI standard controller" for my
drivecontrollers.

DVD drive says:
Hersteller: Unknown
Produkt: AHCI Standard Controller
Verbindungsgeschwindigkeit: 6 Gigabit
Aufgebaute Verbindungsgeschwindigkeit: 1,5 Gigabit
Beschreibung: AHCI Version 1.30 Supported

HARDDRIVE says:
Unknown AHCI Standard Controller:

Hersteller: Unknown
Produkt: AHCI Standard Controller
Verbindungsgeschwindigkeit: 6 Gigabit
Aufgebaute Verbindungsgeschwindigkeit: 3 Gigabit
Beschreibung: AHCI Version 1.30 Supported

I tried to install AppleAHCIPort.kext yet, but no difference.
Please help me out! :)

Here are my complete specs:
Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3 (F2 Bios)
Intel Core i7 - 2600k (at 32x multi)
8 GB DDR3 Corsair 1333Mhz Ram
nVidia GTX470
1GB WD SATA2 Drive
DVD/BlueRay Burning Device

what system definition should I use? atm I use MacPro3,1 is MacBookPro8,1 any
better?

I can se that you connected your DVD to one of the two SATA 3 (6 Gigabit) connectors.
Don`t do that use one of the 4 SATA 2 (3 Gigabit) connectors)
And then update your Bios to F4 and use the DSDT.aml from the database.
I have the same MB and everything`s working.
Use Mac Pro 3.1
