I am having the same issue, 20 seconds from BIOS to Clover GUI. Logging is definitely set to "no" but still having the 20 second delay during which there is an underscore on a black screen.

In addition, when I updated to r2999, it would take nearly two minutes from Clover GUI to boot. It seems to take an extraordinarily long time to load drivers. When I stepped back to r2850, that time is cut WAY down.

It would help if you posted how you managed to fix it...
Same here, newsest build r3021, 10 more seconds from BIOS to GUI ( My motherboard is ASUS P6T SE without EFI support), no significant different betwwen log=yes or no.

It's extremely quick while boot thru Chimera.

How to fix it?

Never mind, I got it booting correctly now. I still had Boot/Log=true in my config.plist. Thanks anyway!

Thank a lot, thank, thank, thank.

same problem here, solved putting /false in logging section, or "no" in boot-->log with clover configurator
