Hello, I have a Samsung 840 SSD, but yet boot times are still almost 30 seconds. I've tried the AppleACPI kext as suggested in another thread, kernel cache, and moving my drive around. I have enabled trim, and have no clue. Any ideas? Thank you -KM

Fixed that problem with KernelCache=No. Now the audio is messed up though. Trying a fresh install.

in system preference...startup disk, is your OS X on the Samsung selected? even if it's the only one, it still needs to be selected, i.e. dark blue.

If you CCC your OS X onto an SSD, and then use the SSD as your startup disk (even as your ONLY) disk, this needs to be done. the console logs will show you the process OS X went through to verify / enable it as startup.

EDIT: kernelcache=no should actually make booting slower, would it not?
