Sleep, Restart and Shutdown all restart :/

Since I upgraded from Yosemite to MacOS Sierra, the sleep, restart and shut down functions all restart the computer. Any ideas would be very welcome, otherwise i have to shut down by holding down the power button, which is a bit annoying. I'm not too bothered about sleep since I don't use it much and it hasn't worked for me since the beginnings of Clover, though it would be nice if it worked.
