I've been struggling with sleep ever since I began my build. Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H rev 1.1, BIOS F14.
ISSUE:
My issue is, when I manually or auto sleep, it sleeps for a few seconds, then wakes right back up. Before I disabled the CPU PLL Overvoltage and changed boot priorty from UEFI to P0=SSD Drive, it would turn back on but blank screen. Now (after changing those two items), it wakes back up and screen comes on and everything works, I just can't get it to stay sleeping.
ATTEMPTS:
I have tried PCIROOTID=0, Dark Wake = 0, 8, 10, No. I tried changing the primary boot options from UEFI to P0=SSD Drive. Also tried unplugging my Bluetooth adapter, checking off 3 of the four boxes in Energy Saver (the original instructions on this thread were before the updated Mountain Lion, now there are 4 check boxes but the fourth for Wake on Lan, I leave unchecked). In BIOS, I disabled Wake on Lan, and also disabled the CPU PLL Overvoltage thing.
STILL NEED TO TRY:
The only other thing I haven't tried is rearranging which ports my SATA connectors are going into. I have a memory card reader, an SSD, an HDD, and an optical drive connected via SATA, and I also have a fan controller via molex. I will try checking the different SATA ports I'm using tonight to see if maybe one of those things are causing my issue.
QUESTION:
Are there any other things I can try other than these? I ran Multibeast a long time ago when I first installed ML 10.8.2, and haven't run it again since.
Also, since I have a Gigabyte board, I didn't install any DSDT (and I made sure I don't have that NullPowerManagement kext). Is that correct? I also saw a new option in the newer version of Multibeast about Power Hibernation or something like that, but have not yet attempted to install that. I know some people have had luck with the same motherboard, any other suggestions? Thanks!
