SL installation issues, could use some help.

Hello fellas


After some time i finally decided to try and do an SL installation on my rig.

So far i'm getting issues, it fails to boot into installation, and crashes at loading screen after some time.

I did a normal verbose for you to see the last lines here:

Now, i tried a few flags like:

PCIRootUID=1 and 0
-f
-F
-x
npci=0x2000
busratio=20

in different combinations, sometimes completely.

So far it just haven't worked right.

Specs:

ASUS ROG Rampage IV Extreme
Intel I7 3930K, 3.2ghz
Geforce GTX 780
4gb ram "just for installation, my build runs at 16gb"
DVD DL ODD

Thats all i can think of... Ask me whatever you might need to know, i hope you can help!

EDIT: I forgot to include, its a RETAIL installation of SL.

And that i have a 1 tb hdd which is gonna be the home for the installation.

EDIT 2:

Currently on SL as we speak, i finally got it installed, preparing combo update and see if i can make it stable. Will post results.

All i can say for now is: booting with PCIRootUID=1, npci=0x3000 and apci=no, works for now.

But i would love to hear if you know what occured in my picture.

Will post again in the future!

EDIT 3: Things starts to look a bit unclear.

I have the feeling that i gotta get ML if i at least want my graphics card to work with the OS.

So thats my next step once i got money rolling in...

Admins can close the thread if there is nothing more to add.

LAST EDIT:

Remove this thread, no problems with SL, going to ML and see if i can make a bootable USB with Unibeast.

Glad to see that you had positive results.

YOU will have issues w the nVidia 7xx chipsets w Snow Leo

as they are not supported by the OS natively.

You may want to use an alternative card (older nVidia) if you have or can locate w friends,

To be operational w OSX.

I found out quickly after i did some research.

I just bought ML and got it on an USB with Unibeast, ML is now installed and works completely fine, hardware is compatible and works smoothly.
