Hey KGP, I first want to thank you for your fantastic guide, got my system up and running successfully! I had a question about the onboard bluetooth. I am on a very similar board to yours (STRIX X299-e gaming) small step down from the deluxe. You mention that your onboard bluetooth was working, did that "just work" or did you have to do anything special to make it work? Mine isn't being detected by my system. I would get the adapter your talking about, but I don't have much use for wifi and really only looking for bluetooth audio for music or Facetime calls.
Yup onboard BT OoB...

Just Noticed this in system report. Looks like the bluetooth radio is showing up as a usb 3.0 device. I also noticed I do not have a USB 2.0 Section, not sure if that is normal or not. I discovered this when trying to setup a VM to control my H115i cooler with Corsair link. Parallels VM doesn't seem to detect any of my usb devices. Would modifying your "KGP-ASUSPrimeX299Deluxe-USB.kext" for my board resolve some of these problems? I am not having any other usb problems and transfer speeds seem to be pretty good, so maybe it isn't worth fixing something that isn't broken? Sorry for all the questions, first hackintosh build, still a bit of a noob.

What counts are not the cosmetics in Apple 's System Report, what counts is your USB functionality and performance!

Check all ports for functionality and benchmark all ports! If everything works as expected forget about Apple 's System Report!

KGP-ASUSPrimeX299Deluxe-USB.kext will very likely not work with the ASUS Strix. Each board it's Kext. Such is the life in the XHC USB Kext world. That's why I am at a global native solution! If you really think it helps, create your own board specific XHC USB Kext or do what ever you want that makes your happy. However, never think that all cosmetic entries in Apple 's System Report will have really some significant meaning about the actual functionality and performance of your system!

I knew that this entire discussion ones opened, will never find it's end at some point. Along this thread there are several specialists able to open Pandora's box each time. And then there are surprisingly always further specialists who also always want to see what is in inside..

Always the same behaviour, always the same story.

And I am really tired... and I am really loosing patience and motivation..

Cheers,

KGP

Yeah, I think the thread was disabled because some users (Shael and others) just start to insult other users. Just a shame, the thread and the work of kgp was really good and helped a lot.

Also discovered this to my dismay this morning!! I know this sometime get heated but I hope both you and the mods know how important and helpful that thread is to so many of the silent users. Follow since it was at about 90 pages!

Purely coincidentally I just took my hack offline this morning to give it an overhaul and update to the iMac pro smbios. Is there any way you can post the two .AML files and your iMac pro ssdtPRGen please?

If there is anything we can do to help reinstate the thread let us know!

Thanks mate.

This is the only problem you have?

My guide and thread have been removed or disabled by Tonymacx86 and the only thing what comes to your mind is to ask for two yet not anymore existing files?

Gorgeous, man!
