no, you need a mac or a working hack to create the installer

Hi guys,
I want to install it on my computer in order to run pro tools 10 /12:

intel (r) HD Graphics 630
intel (r) Core (TM) i5-7400 CPU @3.00 GHz
12 gig 2133 Mhz DIMM

Do you think it will work?
Which system would you suggest me to install?

Many many tanks

Hi Guys, I am new to this (i know its old os but i do like a challenge). Anyway followed the simple guide on my Lenovo T420. I bought the retail sl dvd. I used this with iboot (legacy seemed to work best) to install to my system hdd. I installed and ran multibeast and update helper as used, and sandybridge as in the guide but system will not boot from hdd after trying to install update? Apart from this it is working great but I still need the iboot dvd to boot with first. At least I have a Mac to play with but is there not a utility to just make my hdd bootable sl? Am I wasting my time guys? Is there a better version OS to use? Can this run on my laptop Y/N? If not should I buy the Mountain Lion retail DVD? Will this work this work on my system Y/N. Just y or n is all i need guys, thanks.

I think this method described in the start of this thread is dated. (I am myself in the process of trying to understand how to do this.) Maybe it should be rewritten.
This looks much better: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ojave-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.259381/

Clearly you have misunderstood the purpose of the guide.

Here, in the simplest of terms, is the method for retail Mac OS X installation using iBoot, UniBeast, and MultiBeast without access to a Mac.

If you have access to a Mac, use the default UniBeast guide on it's own.

Yes, it's from 7 years, 3 months ago. It's not intended to be used for current installs. Use the Mojave or Catalina install guides. That is for someone with no Mac to make a Unibeast installer. It doesn't work anymore for new Coffee Lake refresh hardware as you can't install Snow Leopard on that.

You are right. This thread just was first to catch my eyes. It takes time to find right answers from a such complicated website as this is. It is not very straightforward..

Hi guys, thanks for the help. I managed to install snow leopard, update it to 10.6. I can get to the app store but there is nothing on show in it, not bought anything yet. Anyway, read somewhere, probably on here, that Apple are still selling Mountain Lion as a download? Found the link ordered the os from Apple. Just looked and it only cost £16! The plan is to d/l Lion and clean install on my Lenovo T420. Not tried to download it yet, clover is a bit of a handful too so I am playing with that and uefi at the moment. I will let you know if it works, thanks again guys!

Do you have, or is there a list of what pieces would work best for photo & video editing build?
