I still need to test HD Footage from a Panasonic HMC151 720p. Im doing a show trailer for a wedding, so will let you know in a few days once i get started regarding the CUDA effects mentioned in those article links you posted.
I know what CUDA is supposed to do, primary reason i built my hackPro.

For those of you, having problems to get other resolutions than 1024x768:

Check (in System profiler / Software / Extensions), if Geforce.kext, NVDAGF100Hal.kext and NVDAResman.kext are loaded.
It seems, that from time to time, the installer doesn't fix permissions correctly...

Solution: copy GeForce.kext, GeForce7xxxGLDriver.bundle, GeForceGA.plugin, GeForceGLDriver.plugin, GeForceVADriver.plugin, NVDAGF100Hal.kext, NVDANV40Hal.kext, NVDANV50Hal.kext and NVDAResman.kext onto your desktop and reinstall them using the app kexthelper or kextbeast.
reboot and everything should work...

good luck!

Is GeForce GT 440 support for CE. Logic 9 and Final Cut need them. If supported, how to get it working...Newbie here.....

Thanks..

Is this procedure still necessary when upgrading to 10.6.8 and the nVidia drivers? Still using the GTX 460 that works OK, but have some problems with a game requiring that OS update, while I'm still on 10.6.7.
Any hint would be much appreciated!
TIA

Reporting on success with GTS450 on SL.
one issue: most bootloaders fails to inject correct NVCap(DVI/VGA) with my gainward GTD450. You have to make yor EFI string by yourself and put it into DSDT or boot.plist.

And don't hesitate to try both outputs on your videocard if it have two. GL.
Will try this in lion soon.

I'm reporting a successful upgrade from 10.6.7 + tonymacx86 nVidia 4xx driver mod to the 10.6.8 + official nVidia Driver Update; I had a Kernel Panic after installing the combo and the driver, while I was using the latest Multibeast trying to update a few things. At restart luckily I was able to get to the Finder, then I update Multibeast and repaired permissions with Disk Utils; I also installed Applejack 1.6 (now supporting SL), so I run it again at the following restart (I highly recommend Applejack to clean the cache, repair permissions, etc.), so now I find a better system and it seems to run somewhat faster and more stable, without any freeze (knock on wood!) using my GTX460 1GB.

S!

Yeah, it's something I've seen myself - I've never been able to get support for my 470 via injectors or enablers. I've always had to inject the NVCAP data (among other things) via EFI string or DSDT. I wonder if it's something weird in how my card (EVGA GTX 470 SC) is laid out, it doesn't seem to me that the port configuration is that uncommon (dual dvi + hdmi, second DVI port and HDMI port share a channel).
I have the EVGA GTX 470 SC and it works fine with Chimera and GraphicsEnabler=Yes for both DVI ports. I haven't tried the HDMI port yet.

I've been reading multiple threads concerning the GTX 4XX cards. In specific I'm trying to determine if the GTX 480 cards are working reliably yet?

THE GTX 480 performs well and is attractively priced right now but I cant seem to determine their status.

Have the nvidia drivers fixed the problems?

Has Netkas found a solution?

Is there a specific version of Chameleon thats needed?

IS 10.7 going to resolve this like it seems to have for GTX 570 users?

Any insight much appreciated....

Hi i have gone threw this forums like a mad little worm and still cant get out of 1024x768.
I have upgraded to 10.6.8, installed the Cuda drivers AND tonys drivers, reinstalled them threw Kext Helper, tried -x (which resulted in 4 yellow squares and lots of blue ones and it hanging there) i have changed bios settings as well to see if that helped like i saw in a previous post and still to no avail, anyone anymore tips?
here is what system profiler says as well (i have a ZOTAC GTX 460 758MB)
