Dear people,

Last week I put Sierra on the computer but it will not happen to me that the computer goes to sleep. The computer goes to sleep and wakes up by pushing through the magic mouse or keyboard from Apple but the picture remains black. Computer runs well.
This is what I've done.

Motherboard = Z68XP ud3
= video card AMD Radeon HD 6870 1024 MB
i7 processor = 2600

Unibeast put with Clover to USB.
Sierra installed with the HD 6870 on an SSD HDD.
Started with Usb Clover.
Sierra I opened Multi Beast and the following choices
Created.

Quick Start > UEFI Boot Mode
Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party SATA

Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party eSATA
Drivers > Disk > Intel Generic AHCI SATA
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.21-311-g2958f55.1723

Bootloaders > Clover v2.3k r3766 UEFI Boot Mode
Customize > System Definitions > iMac > iMac 14,2
Customize > SSDT Options > Sandy Bridge Core i7
Drivers > Graphics > Inject ATI

The info.plist of IOBluetoothFamily.kext I changed to my Belkin Bluetooth dongle and copied to EFI / efi / clover / kext / other /

SSDT made ssdtPRGen and copied to EFI / efi / clover / ACPI / patched
Drop OEM Apple TRC Kernel LAPIC- KernelPm- Asus AICPUPM turned into config.plist

Dark Wake = 0 or No. 1 or 10, or tried
Kext-dev-mode = 1 is on.

Drivers64UEFI = CsmVideoDxe-64.efi-FSInject-64.efi-OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi-OsxFatBinaryDrv-64.efi-VBoxHfs-64.efi in the folder

HD3000 is enabled with Multi Beast and inject intel.

Known problem with Sierra and AMD graphics = Black screen after wake from sleep.

Do you know if there has been a fix yet?
There is no fix.
I think that a workaround is to enable the integrated graphics - Use Search for more information.

The Rules said:
Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you

Ah thank you, will do soon

I have no integrated graphics so will just have to disable sleep, I'm glad you know saved me time trying to find out :).

True, you can use the integrated video card to install sierra. But found out if you added a new user with administrator privileges. Do not use a Auto login. Then use kext utility again and reboot the new user. Should you be successful with clover and your power management and the right smbios offcource. Now would work you deep sleep, strange but true. I think there is something wrong with the starting log in menu from Apple true Radeon. The Card wil not response to show image. By adding 2 Users with Admin rights helpt my. Because when I had that problem I noticed that the computer is full active. Butt the system don't give a good command to show image. Good luck. I work so hard to let this system work for 100% I think a couple off weeks. Installing over and over again till it works like it must. Now works sleep, Imessage, power management, I use 3 screens, 2 on the 6870 Radeon and 1 on the Hd3000 that had 512 mb, now its 1 GB of ram. Its a old system but it still a fast machine for my. Now i'am on 10.12.6 and with every update I don't have to do nothing. The only think what won't work is my wake up from sleep by bluetooth device from Apple mouse or keyboard. The kext won't work. Crazy because Yosemite was no problem. I let it be, use the power button now. Don't want to **** up the system over this. Yes, i have a backup drive, but its good for now.

Wow, adding a user changed the way my setup sleeps. Before, only the monitors would go black, but the computer still ran. Now, the computer and monitors shut down, but the monitors will not way after sleep.

What smbios and darkwake do you use Jordyhut?

Hey Nochoas , that's less fun. My settings are on the pictures. At Clover, I only have FB name on Duckweed. Notify me if there are any problems. Greetings

The computer is going to sleep completely, but with startup, the video card will remain asleep. Put your integrated video card first in your bios.
Generate a ssdt file for clover
To have sure that your sleepimage isn't corrupted, run the command below...
sudo rm -rf /private/var/vm/sleepimage
Put most settings on the pictures over on clover and reboot the computer, hope it works
good luck

Unfortunaly not working.

No difference when creating another admin-user.

First display device set to PCIE-16x

Both Sierra or High Sierra

- Z68XP UD3
- ATI RADEON 6850

Sleep works, but when waking up no screen/black screen. I need to reset computer, and remove memory/cmos battery cause I get black screen when hard rebooting.
