Hi

I just started building a computer with an 8700K and a Gigabyte Z370 HD3. It also has two sticks of Kingston Hyper X Fury RAM (2x16GB, 2666MHz). I've been trying to install Sierra, but the installer hangs while booting very early in the boot process. See the attached image for a screenshot of how far it gets. I've been trying to follow the guide here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...3p-uhd-graphics-630-macos-high-sierra.239402/ . I've tried a couple of things so far. The eventual graphics card I'll use is a GTX 1080, but I've also tried with a 710, and most recently with the integrated graphics on the CPU. I've seen other people with this particular error, but always for an ASUS PRIME Z370-A, where it was an issue with the RAM. I tried the fix for that (See this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/coffee-lake-i7-8700k-asus-prime-z370-a-attempt.235475/ ), but it didn't work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Here's the error message:

You are trying to install Sierra? Did you use a FakeCPUID as in the second thread? (Only High Sierra has native support for Coffee Lake.)

It turns out I had forgotten to set the FakeCPUID, but unfortunately, that wasn't the (main) problem. I've set it to the Kaby Lake one, but the installer still hangs at the same place.

Hi. Did you solve the problem?
I'm trying the same Sierra Installation on Z370+i7 8700 and have the very same problem.
Greetings.

I am totally confuses when people talk about using clover bootloader, clover config, fakecpuid, because theyre not in the tonymac86 guide. Is there a step by step guide for me to use to install on a Ga-Z370 HD3 -i7-8700k. The only stuff i know how to do are UniBeast and multi beast cause that's what 's in the guide. i have built several PCs, this is my first hackintosh attempt.
