Sierra hdmi audio

Hi,
I've got Sierra V10.12 running almost perfect apart from Audio, no output devices detected, greyed out in menu bar. Id like to be able to get hdmi audio through graphics card but the audio from motherboard also is not working.

i5 2550k
msi gtx 580
2x 4gb Corsair Vengeance

any help/guidance would be much appreciated.
