Sierra Display Over Displayport icon

So ive been running a my hackintosh on a 1080 display ive recently upgraded to a 2560x1440 resolution display but the icons look blurry, images and video content look fine just the icons and text doest look as sharp. what can i do to get everything looking sharp?

i have it connected through the displayport cable
looks like the display is being recognized.
