Hi,

I've been having some issues since updating to 14.2. Problems include:

-When I shut down, the computer boots up again about 3 seconds later
-Youtube video container is glitchy in Safari
-Some heavier apps (Logic Pro X, Ableton Live) are crashing a bit more than normal.
-Does not sleep display, even tho settings are to sleep after 1 hr.

I'm not sure whats causing it. Someone told me it could be an NVram issue, but I'm running up to date OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi, SMCHelper-64.efi, and FakeSMC.kext.

Any idea what could be the issue?

Different motherboards behave differently so the following may or may not work for everyone:
  • Some boards need EmuVariableUEFI-64. This must be used in combination with “Install RC scripts to target volume”. This can be done from the Clover installer (not Clover Configurator).
  • Some boards work better with OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000 (google search will get you the link). Be sure to remove any other memory fix driver from CLOVER/kexts/Other
  • Some boards need “slide=0” in combination with above OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000. When Clover boot menu appears, press Spacebar and choose the 4th item — Disabke KASLR (slide=0). If this results in “Couldn’t allocate runtime area” or freeze after “End Randomseed” then just reboot and don’t use slide=0.
  • In Clover Configurator, try checking on:
    • Section 1 of ACPI:
      • FixShutdown
      • FixIPIC
      • FixHPET
    • Section 2 of ACPI:
      • FixRTC
      • FixTMR
    • ACPI: PluginType
    • ACPI: FixHeaders
