Hi all,

Trying to get some pros and cons. Currently, I am using TP-Link PCI Express Wifi Adapter 802.11N (N900) for wifi and it only connects to my 2.4ghz 'n' channel and I have the Nighthawk R7000 AC1900. Currently speed test, avg. 60-70mbps DL/ 40-50mbps (have fiber optic supposedly up to 1gbps) My bluetooth IOGear Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter (uses USB connection) which is working great with my keyboard/mouse and my mini Bose connected to it. the sound was lagging from my Bose. another thing, when I wake up my Hackintosh from sleep, my USB gets disconnected so bluetooth is disable.
However, after upgrade to Mojave, my airdrop doesn't work. I can't see the Hackintosh from MacBook Pro. Here are my questions:

1. Should I upgrade to the native Broadcom BCM93460 card and get the PCI adapter for it?
2. Which version of BCM93460 "CS', "CD", "CSAX". what are the difference between them and which one is good? I search on here and its confusing.
3. Where can I buy these wifi/bluetooth card? and are they OEM from Broadcom? A lot from Ebay. some are taken from old iMAC.
4. I saw this from Amazon. Is this a good card? anyone tried it? reviews said it does. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082X8MBMD/?tag=tonymacx86com-20
5. is it worth it for the upgraded speed?

Please help me decide and answer some of the questions. Thank you in advance.

The link in 4 is the Broadcom card BCM94360CD mounted on a PCIe adapter card and yes it will work.
If you are currently having problems with your existing WiFi/BT then I wold say it is worth upgrading, but that is something you will have to decide after you look at your resources/budget.

This can fix the USB sleep issue as long as the BIOS is set correctly.

Do we know what are the difference between them CD, CS, CSAX? is it worth getting a card that support the new AX speed? I want to maximize my Fiber optic speed. I'm just using my 2.4ghz "n" connection currently.

Mac OS does not yet support AX. Very few devices so far support AX, so I would not bother to spend the $$ right now. I would wait until they fix all the bugs that are always found after the release of new firmware/hardware for at least one year before upgrading.

For the differences between the Broadcom cards, the CD is the one supported/created for Apple. It supports all 802.11 except ax.

Broadcom doesn’t have the 94360 in AX format. So those eBay adds are not correct. Wouldn’t be the first time.
