Updated the security. Have no issues with this. So far.

Went smoothly (had to turn my bluetooth off and on to connect my MagicTrackpad, but not sure if it's related). So far everything else seems fine.

I first updated my kexts, then ran the installer. About 15 minutes total, details as follows:

The update itself took about 15 minutes. Rebooted 3 times. It correctly selected the "Boot MacOs Install from [YourHardDrive]" the first reboot. It DID NOT correctly select the right drive on the second reboot; I had to select that manually. So be vigilant.

Each screen change (e.g. going from black background with the white apple to a reboot, or going from the white background with a dark gray apple to the black background, etc.) was usually no more than 1-2 minutes, until the last black background.

For that last screen (black background, white apple) the initial time estimate was "About 30 minutes remaining" but ended up only being 5-6 minutes.

It then rebooted normally.

P.S. Check to see if your Preferences>System Updates has been changed to turn on the "Automatically Keep My Mac Up To Date" option.

Just noticed this was on. I didn't enable it. Wondering if it the last update (or one of the last updates) changed the default.

No issues for me. 10.15.7 (19H1030); Safari 14.1 (15611.1.21.161.5, 15611). Update via SU.

in System pref it wants me to install Big Sur.
Not offering the catalina update.
Not able to download it from Apple either.
How does one do this?

If I click "upgrade now" it downloads big sur.
If I click "More info" It takes me to a webpage about big sur.
In advanced I can only choose what to automatically install.

That's odd, mine had an extra link to click.
The 11.2.3 thing implies to me that you are already on Big Sur.
No idea what's going on.
