Seagate Hard Drives (The different products overseas)

Hi everyone!

First post here and I just got a thing I need to clarify, I'm from Sydney and sourcing for the items on the list is alittle more troublesome..

As seen in the buying guide for Seagate Barracuda 1TB,

Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

In Sydney, I can only find this particular model:

Seagate BarraCuda HDD 1TB, ST1000DM010

Its not quite the same, but does it matter?

The ST1000DM010 is the new replacement in Seagate's range and replaces the ST1000DM003 model.

Its not quite the same, but does it matter?

You can use that newer model or even a Hitachi, Toshiba or WD brand as well. The critical components to match exactly are the motherboard, GPU, ram and CPU. The case, PSU and storage aren't as critical and you have many more options. You can buy other than what is in the Guide. Just make sure to stay with higher quality name brands.
