i have the same issue I tried everything but still no go even adding this EmuVariableUefi-64.efi nothing. yet
this only happend on Catalina Mojave wake/sleep works fine.
any help will be appreciated

Hey I solved it by changing a DP cable..
If you also use DP, you may want start with single monitor and a diferent DP/HDMI cable...
