Now people have sucessfully built fully working SB macs, let's see how they perform, whether they're stable, and how we can tweak/squeeze more performance out of them.

Over time, we can discover the optimal settings and configurations. Make sure you re-post settings after you tweak your system.

List your BIOS settings and drivers, and post any or all of:

1. Geekbench (32 bit)
2. Xbench screenshot (all items ticked)
3. Cinebench 11.5
4. NovaBench

  • Attach screenshots (Press CMD+SHIFT+4, then SPACE, then click window)[/*:m:eek:p0s2q0y]
  • Use the below layout for consistency (Copy/paste/edit code section at end of post)[/*:m:eek:p0s2q0y]
  • Only state the changes made to BIOS[/*:m:eek:p0s2q0y]
  • List primary (OSX) drive[/*:m:eek:p0s2q0y]
  • List memory specs if different from stock (over/under-clocked)[/*:m:eek:p0s2q0y]
  • To check your kernel version, open terminal and type: uname -a[/*:m:eek:p0s2q0y]

Re: SandyBridge Benchmark/Performance Thread

I don't think the turbo is kicking in. Anything I can do from the E/E side of things? UEFI/BIOS settings? I have my turbo multiplier set to 40 and base to default (Auto) but Geekbench still gives me about the same score as before I cranked up the turbo (around 10500).

I listed all BIOS setting in original post. Here's a screenshot of E/E.

smbios attached also, as you need to have it set to MBP.

What is your Chameleon version? AnVAL r709?

Thanks. Yeah, I am using the Sandy Bridge Chameleon from MB 3.4. I think I could get fixed base mult to work but would like turbo working. Only have FakeSMC and audio kext in my E/E. Don't have NullCPU kext installed. Maybe that'd do the trick? Hmm. I think this is better its own thread.
