Dear all,
I have browsed the forum but I am struggling to find a straight answer to a couple of questions I have, hence this thread.
I have purchased a Sandisk Extreme II 120GB SSD as the Sandisk series was recommended by Tonymacx86.com buyer's guide.
Up until the guide of March 2014 the Extreme was on the list with the following comment: For these drives, we recommend the Sandisk Extreme as they use toggle NAND flash and Sandforce controllers. This combination provides the highest performance and doesn't require TRIM being enabled.
However starting from April 2014, the Sandisk SSD is not mentionned in the list of recommended SSDs anymore;
My first question is, why has this changed?
My second question: now that I have purchased this disk (need to check firmware version once I'm home)and installed OS X on it, shall I or shall I not enable trim for this disk?
The fact that it was in the list with the commnt form above and that it now vanished is misleading.
Thank you for whoever can answer my question
Good day to you all
